Regional Human Resources Director


The Regional HR Director supports an assigned region of ASC facilities, working closely with the assigned facilities' and regional leadership teams to provide oversight and hands-on support for all human resources functions. 


These functions include, but are not limited to: general HR support, talent management, leadership onboarding & orientation, management training, employee engagement & retention, employee relations, compensation, safety, labor management, human resources related policies and guidelines, staff coaching and training, and HRIS management reporting. 


This position does require regular travel across the assigned region, ranging from Lafayette and Williamsport to Muncie and rural Ft Wayne.


ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS




  • Consult with management providing HR guidance on results gathered and presented by leaders.




  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.




  •  Analyze trends and metrics to develop appropriate needs analysis, identifying gaps, and recommendations for improvement plans and best practices.




  • Elevate complex employee relations issues to the Sr. Regional Human Resource Director and offer insights on policy clarifications.



  • Champion organizational initiatives by acting as a trusted advisor to promote organization strategies and goals.

  • Ensure that the mission and values are being modeled in the building and that the leadership of the building understands the HR goals and what required to be a high-star building.


  • Engage both leadership and staff to identify growth, staffing, education, and other employee-related needs.




  • Review 360 calls, and workplace claims that need HR oversight, including reviewing termination requests for consistency.



  • Provide facility Business Office team with consultation on day-to-day application of all Human Resources policies, practices, and processes, with particular focus on positive employee relations and customer service


EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management or similar field

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resource Management, preferably with multisite experience and/or healthcare employer. 

  • Extensive experience developing and/or upholding policies in line with federal compliance standards, including ADA, FLSA, FMLA, Worker's Compensation and other DOL programs and guidelines.

  • Required: Valid Indiana Operator's (Driver's) License

  • Required: Must be willing to travel to ASC buildings across assigned region daily and/or weekly, depending on the needs of the facilities.
