Mars Pet Nutrition Is embarking on a massive Digital Transformation journey in support of our recently unveiled 5+5 strategy. As part of this Digital Growth ambition, we are building a new team of global Digital Product Managers who will each have direct responsibility for one of our priority Digital Growth products (MMM/Marketing Mix Modelling, SRM/Strategic Revenue Management, or RBS/Retail Business Solutions). This role is a critical connector role that will partner closely with the Functional Product Owner and Digital teams on product build, rollout, adoption & enablement. He/she will lead a team of teams across Digital teams (including D&A/Data & Analytics, DDF/Data & Digital Foundations, and Architecture of Tomorrow).
As a Digital Product Manager for MMM, you will join a new formed Digital Growth team with responsibilities for providing a robust, fit-for-purpose, and strategic portfolio of solutions that deliver the Pet Nutrition business. You, together with the Digital Growth team, will serve the needs of the business today and tomorrow by ensuring effective service delivery in parallel with delivering major transformational investments. You will provide thought leadership to shape the business of the future, bringing to Pet Nutrition key external perspectives on emerging technologies and industry best practice. You will protect our ability to operate by ensuring inherently complex systems are resilient and secure. What are we looking for?
10 years of business experience, ideally in business management, digital technologies management, digital product management, or marketing; Minimum 3 years of experience in media mix, marketing attribution, related marketing domains
Experience in delivery management of analytical products, including strength in business -to-science translation to enable partnering with Product Teams in bringing analytics products to life at scale
Strong story-telling skills with ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff, working across multiple levels. Executive stakeholder communications experience is a plus
Demonstrated success in overseeing digital projects and initiatives, preferably in a leadership capacity.
Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization - including the ability to influence without authority
Excellent stakeholder management skills, adept at influencing within large, complex organisations, demonstrated problem solving
Experience building strong relationships across silos and leading cross-functional teams to deliver tangible results
Organized, analytics, and able to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Experience in managing relationships with external data vendors and analytics service providers
What will be your key responsibilities?
Project Management
Critical connector role: liaise with Product Owner and Digital teams on build, rollout, adoption & enablement
Act a central coordinator across Digital teams (D&A, DDF, Architecture of Tomorrow, etc.) and manage/influencer without authority
Consolidate and track all inputs in an overall digital project plan; manage/identify dependencies and establish accountabilities
Input Global & OE digital project plan into overall Program Plan (led by Program Manager)
Recommend and be responsible for technical roles needed for product delivery
Manage SOW and Digital vendors in partnership with Commercial
Strategic Leadership
Collaborate with the Functional Product Owner to harmonize the product vision, strategies, roadmaps, value creation commitments, and end-to-end experience where possible
Support Product Owner with business cases development including providing recommendations on Design/Scale markets and rollout maps based on product/program scope, markets' maturity and priorities
Monitor the industry/market and stay ahead of advances (especially technology-driven) in the product domain
Requirement Gathering
Steer data discovery to enable Product team to create fit for purpose data products
Enable Product Owner to manage backlog and sequence product/feature release
Gather requirements for product build and scale: enhancements, refresh, scaling to markets/brands
Orchestrate prioritization based on feasibility/impact and inputs from other digital teams
Product Delivery
Ensure consistency and quality control of product delivery (from digital perspective) in design & scale markets
Partner with Data & Analytics and Architecture of Tomorrow on DDF (Data & Digital Foundations) to ensure consistent data architecture/data model
Partner with OE teams (Digital Growth leads, Super Users, and Acceleration Leads) to lead regional rollout across Design/Scale markets
Support Product Owner on release management, covering its technical aspects
Act as first escalation point for the product's digital topics
Drive technical incidents to resolution, communication, escalations
