The safety and well-being of our employees is our most foundational value at OBE, and our highest priority. We are seeking a skilled and dynamic senior safety professional to help design, develop, and deploy the strategic safety processes that bring that most important organizational virtue to life within our rapidly growing organization.
The Safety Director is responsible for driving the deployment of safety initiatives. This role ensures we have robust governance systems to ensure compliance with OSHA and state-OSHA regulations, and that our strategic processes are delivering the intended results. The role will lead team-based risk assessments, and provides strategic guidance, coaching, mentoring, and close support to facility safety representatives so that they may successfully grow and mature in their safety systems and culture.
The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and experience in machine safeguarding, life-critical job tasks (e.g., elevated work, suspended loads, electrical work), ergonomics, industrial hygiene, hazardous energy control, and injury case management. There is a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in applying Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles, and using digital platforms like VelocityEHS and Brady Link360, as enablers of safety strategy.
