This position will be responsible for Safety, Employee and Customer Relations, Production, Quality and Scheduling commitments. This position requires a high degree of teamwork as you will interface with manufacturing departments, project managers, dispatching, and other functional areas.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

• Create and maintain a safe work environment.


• Safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this position. Ensure your team does as well.


• Ensure quality in all aspects of the department’s products – shipments, truckloads, paperwork, etc.


• Processing of shipments and maintaining reports in shipment tracking systems.


• Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft office systems.


• Work very closely with the dispatcher to ensure we optimize the use of our transportation resources and meet customer shipment requirements.


• Communicate the goals of the organization and reinforce our safety culture to the work force through both one on one, and daily team meetings.

• Track time and attendance through Kronos.


• Effectively coordinate with the production floor to ensure trucks are loaded efficiently, safely, and in organized fashion.


• Effectively track and communicate the ship schedule to ensure all batches are prepared for shipment to highest possible level of completion.


• Preparation for report outs and participation in daily production leadership meetings.

 

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• Three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing, shipping/loading, or warehouse environment.

• Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees.  


• Ability to work in a team environment supportive of employees, the organization as well as safety and production efforts is a must.
