ITT Goulds Pumps is looking for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Seneca Falls, NY. The Engineer will report to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering. In this role, you will support several manufacturing assembly lines in addition to several supporting production areas. You will work cross-functionally with several team members, including production supervisors, QA engineers, lean team members, buyers, planners, and more. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives in support of various objectives, including safety, quality, productivity, etc.
Responsibilities
Strategic alignment with production, quality, finance, and other key stakeholders to implement lean manufacturing projects.
Design, develop, and procure the necessary fixtures, equipment, or tools necessary for assembly operations.
Collaborate with engineering, programming, and operations to explore new machining technology and acquire new advanced CNC machines integrated with automated solutions.
Perform and document root cause analysis.
Participate in Gemba walks and act on escalations by implementing engineering solutions.
Employ Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to increase manufacturing capacity, productivity, and overall operational effectiveness.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Develop and maintain standard work instructions for the various production areas.
Ability to read and create CAD models. Exposure to Creo Pro-E preferred.
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing processes.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
Communicate with programmers, production management, machinists, operators, and engineering to achieve solutions to both capacity planning and quality level.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience implementing lean projects.
Must have strong knowledge of assembly operations.
Knowledge of machining fundamentals and processes. CNC Programming experience not required.
Must be able to read, write and understand English, perform simple shop math calculations, and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Must have Lean/Six Sigma experience.
Familiar with Creo Pro E and/or other design software.
Must have general computer experience. MSOffice including Excel, Teams, Word, Power Point.
