Production Specialist - 2nd shift at Conagra Brands in Jackson, Tennessee

Job Description:

Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM-12:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $19.50 an hour + $.50 shift differential

Production Specialists are responsible for the overall SQF (Safe Quality Food); food safety and Quality Assurance of product. They are to inspect products for defects based on QA Guidelines for acceptable and non-acceptable product, discarding defective product into the proper containers to ensure food safety and quality assurance. It is essential that they maintain good housekeeping practices. Employee must follow all OSHA and Plant Safety rules and report to the supervisor.

• Follow all company Standards of Conduct.



• Must be able to communicate well with others and report issues to peers, leaders, and support organizations as needed.


• Must have a good understanding of both Processing and Packaging job duties.


• Inspect product for good quality and food safety.


• Responsible for adhering to Quality Assurance standards.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


• Assemble and collate product onto high speed conveyors.


• GMP'S (Good manufacturing practices), which include the use of high pressure hot water / chemical cleaning equipment and general housekeeping duties such as cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and sanitizing functions on the lines.


• Starts, stops, and regulates speed of line conveyers as needed.


• Complete various quality, food safety, and safety processes including paperwork and data entry


• Hand pack, hand palletize product, and settle bags of product into cartons to ensure smooth transition.


• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
