RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Triage Tester in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and solutions-oriented Network Triage Tester with a strong background in CPE device testing to join our telecommunications team. The role focuses on replicating and diagnosing customer, internal, and data-related issues through software-based testing. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with up to 5 years of experience who is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Network Triage Tester will conduct manual testing of CPE devices such as routers, modems, and set-top boxes


• Replicate and troubleshoot reported issues across 12-14 platforms, ensuring effective triage and resolution


• Analyze logs and network data using tools like Wireshark, TCP dump, and Splunk


• Perform network diagnostics with a focus on DHCPv4 and basic Wi-Fi troubleshooting


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test solutions and document results


• As a Network Triage Tester, you will apply Linux-based knowledge for troubleshooting and testing purposes


• Develop and enhance testing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

REQUIREMENTS:

• Up to 5 years of experience with CPE device testing (e.g., set-top boxes, routers, modems)


• Experience with network log analysis using tools like Wireshark and TCP dump


• Basic Linux knowledge for troubleshooting and operations


• Proficiency in networking fundamentals, especially DHCPv4 (willingness to learn DHCPv6)


• Strong manual testing and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think outside the box

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Splunk for data analysis


• Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell or Python


• Knowledge of C or C++ programming


• Exposure to advanced networking concepts and device testing environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
