Job Description:
As a Product Leader, you will drive the strategic vision and execution of our product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, define product roadmaps, manage end-to-end product lifecycles, and ensure successful product launches that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversees the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and new product development to market introduction, growth, maturity, and eventual product end-of-life.
Responsible for setting and executing product portfolio and experience strategy innovations across physical and digital customer journeys.
Creates business cases in support of value created for customer and business. Analyzes and evaluates market opportunities by balancing potential revenue generation with cost optimization strategies.
Develops and maintains product roadmap and coordinates product and experience introductions, enhancements, and modifications based on comprehensive assessment of the product life cycle and customer intelligence.
Ensures that resources are allocated effectively across the product portfolio to maximize impact and return on investment. Prioritizes product initiatives based on business objectives, market potential, customer value, and internal capabilities.
Identifies areas where cost-saving initiatives (e.g., operational efficiencies) can be implemented without compromising product quality or customer satisfaction.
Makes data-driven decisions that align product strategy with the company's financial goals, ensuring that each product delivers both financial value and competitive differentiation.
Monitors market conditions, customer needs and preferences, voice-of-customer (VOC), competitive landscape, and overall business strategy to ensure that product and experience(s) have the proper capabilities and internal support required to positively contribute to overall business goals.
Conducts thorough market analysis and customer research to uncover unmet needs and untapped market segments, identifying "whitespace" opportunities where new or enhanced products could deliver significant value.
Uses design thinking to discover, develop, and deploy new customer-centric products, experiences, and enhancements to existing products and experiences.
Leverages agile approaches and rapid prototyping to test hypotheses and vet concepts.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, IE, Operations, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to design, build, implement, and communicate capabilities across all relevant touch points (e.g., operations, owned digital, earned digital, retail locations, etc.)
Coordinates go-to-market strategy and supports all relevant channels to effectively promote products and experiences and onboard customers/users.
Accountable for tactics to achieve defined objectives and key results (OKRs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and profit and loss (P&L) goals.
Proactively identifies potential risks related to product development, market acceptance, and competition. Develops contingency plans to minimize disruption and ensure product success.
Defines and implements governance frameworks for the product organization, ensuring standardized processes for decision-making, resource allocation, and product prioritization. Develops clear roles and responsibilities across teams, defines product stage gates, and sets expectations for project management and reporting.
Sets direction and vision by mentoring and leading a team of product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, and accountability.
Plays a strategic role in product management by delivering a product that effectively addresses customer needs, aligns with business goals by understanding the market, and collaborates with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrates effective leadership skills by motivating and inspiring, empowering others, fostering innovation, and building relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience in product management or product leadership.
Strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, network operations, and market dynamics.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex products.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Experience with agile methodologies and product development frameworks.
Passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
