Job Purpose:
The Advancement Services Specialist records gifts and supports the advancement services team by performing data entry, generating reports, and assisting with data integrity and security.
Job Summary:
Gifts Records Administration Collaborates with the Winthrop University Foundation (WUF) to facilitate all activities related to pledge and gift processing.
Accurately records all incoming gifts and pledges in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Manages a portfolio of recurring gifts and pledge receivables with varying payment schedules.
Investigates and resolves gift discrepancies and exceptions.
Complies with all internal accounting controls as they relate to gift processing.
Data and Records ManagementSupports the CRM software and associated platforms, ensuring a structured and comprehensive constituent management system. Responsibilities include data entry, data reporting and data integrity in support of Alumni Relations, Prospect Research, Donor Relations, Development, President's Office, University Communication and Marketing, and university colleges and programs.
User Support Supports end users of the CRM and associated platforms related to data requests, gift records inquiries, system improvements and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer/information science, statistics/mathematics, business management or related field.
Experience in information systems, advancement services, CRM databases and/or prospect research/management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Blackbaud applications, including Raiser's Edge NXT, Online Express, Research Point, Guided Fundraising Solutions and BB Merchant Services.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Access) and statistical reporting software.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Summary:
Sufficient knowledge of computer applications and databases to perform job duties at a high level.
Effective interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
Ability to be self-directed and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
Must be analytical and data-driven and have the ability to write, revise, analyze and troubleshoot moderately complex to complex data reports from the enterprise platform.
