Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Recovery Specialist in the Dorchester Family Center program at Behavioral Health Network!
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Dorchester Family Center program with the following:
Providing direct substance use recovery services and ensure the well-being of individuals served.
Overseeing client activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and being responsible for food shopping.
Providing crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
Transporting clients in their own registered and insured vehicle or program van.
Adhering to regulations and requirements of licensing and funding sources.
Who are we?
The Dorchester Family Center provides long-term residential family substance use treatment for women and their children of all ages, from newborns to teens. The diverse, experienced team at the Dorchester Family Center provides a variety of substance use recovery services including individual and group counseling, therapy and psycho-educational groups, individualized treatments plans, and medical and mental health referrals, among others. Our goal is to provide a safe and sober living environment to allow successful family reunification and long-term family stabilization.

What are we looking for in a Recovery Specialist?
Commitment to client empowerment, human rights, and community integration.
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
One year of experience in substance abuse treatment environment (required).
Knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse Regulations.
Valid driver's license (required).
In successful recovery for two or more years, if applicable (required)
Must have open availability to cover nights, weekends and overnight (3rd shift) shifts as needed
Must pass a driver's test (BHN) to drive company passenger van for transporting clients
