Warehouse Lead 12 hour Nights Fri-Sun at ORBIS Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Description:

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• May include receiving, verifying, and documenting incoming shipments


• May include processing paperwork associated with all inbound and outbound shipments


• Ensuring all safety regulations, policies, and procedures are followed


• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise with shipments and forklift operators


• Clean aging items in our shipping system maintaining accurate logs of inbounds and outbounds disposition status and yard locations


• Coordinate with the Clerk on priorities live unloads trailer verifications and movements


• Provide end of shift report to peers and Supervisors with any outlying priorities or barrier's


• Follow standard work instructions/ identify and communicate areas of improvement to Supervisor


• Maintain an organized filing system of forklift inspection logs


• Coordinate with Yard Hostler on trailer movements


• Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of leadership and departments using, Microsoft teams, email, and other contact methods proficiently and proactively.


• Perform other duties as required


• Lead by example in attendance, promptness, punctuality, professionalism and work ethic


• Act as liaison between forklift operators and Supervisor


• Report any and all near misses, first aids, property and or forklift damage to Supervisor


• Report all production impacts and forklift driver concerns to Supervisor


• Coordinate with Supervisor on daily and weekly production plans


• Train and record field observational driving test for new forklift operators

Essential Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• 2 years in a decision-making role


• 3 years forklift experience


• 2 years Warehousing or Shipping experience


• 1-2 years Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel experience


• Must have experience in fast paced work environment

• 3-5 years leadership experience


• 3-5 years in decision making role


• 5 years forklift experience


• Any certifications in leadership, warehousing or process related
