Job Description
The Faculty Assistant shall assist multiple faculty and/or staff members in their day-to-day operations, course management, and communication requirements. In addition, this person works closely with Law School staff and students
Required Qualifications
*relevant experience; *experience working with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
*bachelors degree; *previous experience in an educational institution or providing administrative support in an office environment

promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University and the School of Law to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;

promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students;

participate on Law School committees;
Job Duty
assist faculty members of the Law School in carrying out their respective duties in the law school;, including but not limited to, maintaining and reporting grades and interfacing with students;

assist the Executive Assistant to the Dean and the Assistant to the Associate Dean for Academics as necessary;
Job Duty
promote understanding of the Law School requirements for faculty, staff, and students;
Job Duty
schedule meetings of faculty, staff and others as necessary;
Job Duty
assist with establishing effective office organizational and management procedures in accordance with University and Law School policies;
Job Duty
maintain records, reports, and other documents that support the criteria for accreditation for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners, and the American Bar Association and standards and guidelines for individual program approval/accreditation;

promote effective fiscal management;
Job Duty
assist with annual law school faculty evaluations;
Job Duty
maintain accurate and accountable records;

establish/maintain program, departmental, and school documents and reports;
Job Duty
maintain institutional calendars;
Job Duty
assist with coordination of events and speakers;
Job Duty
assist with room scheduling for courses/events as needed;
Job Duty
organize and assist in data collection/storage for the school;
Job Duty
assist with annual law school faculty and course evaluations;
Job Duty
post informational notices to the Law School that will further the attainment of desired outcomes for all the areas within the Law School;
Job Duty
perform general office duties of answering phones and email, word processing, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, form design, filing, and scheduling appointments;
Job Duty
maintain adequate inventory of supplies;
Job Duty
assist in the completion of required institutional and program budgeting, assessment, and strategic planning reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the Law School;
Job Duty
assist in the creation, proofing and editing of scholarship including articles and textbooks;
Job Duty
maintain strict confidentiality regarding Law School and University matters; and
Job Duty
perform other duties as assigned.
