Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to administer and teach effective assistive technology to students in the office of Disability Services and manage a small caseload of students. This job will also help develop accommodation plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
25% Develop and implement effective conversion of instructional materials into alternate media format and keep complete, accurate records of work including methods of delivery to students across technology devices and platforms.
25% Train and support students with disabilities in the use of technology used by the College and assistive technology tools available through Disability Services
25% Coordinate support services for students with disability by reviewing and interpreting appropriate documentation and developing accommodation/academic adjustment strategies; work with faculty and staff to facilitate student accommodation/academic adjustment issues
15% Serve as primary contact in Disability Services for maintaining effective accommodations with regard to the use of all technology for students with disabilities within the college's Information Services Department, Educational Technology Services and across all campus programs
10% Administer Assistive Technology sites, site license agreements and maintain accurate inventory of Disability Services technology provided by the College for students with disabilities at all campuses

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and experience working with assistive technology and experience in creating accommodation plans for students with reading and interpreting documentation. Two years of experience working with assistive technology and demonstrated experience working with persons with disabilities in a learning environment
(Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience)
