Senior Accounting Manager




Location: Hybrid Milwaukee




Opportunity



Rehlko is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the financial health of the organization. This role will work closely with senior leadership to drive business performance and support decision-making with timely and accurate financial data.



Specific Responsibilities



  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with FP&A and/or lead the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts; monitor actual performance against the budget and provide variance analysis.

  • Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting to senior management.

  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets, improve efficiency, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

  • Tax Compliance: Partner with Tax to review compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations as needed.

  • Audit Management: Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring continuous professional development and optimal team performance.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance reporting accuracy.

  • Cash Management: Oversee cash flow, working capital management, and maintain relationships with financial institutions.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as finance, operations, and HR to provide financial insights that drive company initiatives and growth.



Skills/Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).

  • Minimum of 10 + years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a management role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

  • Proficiency with accounting and adjacent software (e.g., SAP, BPC, OneStream) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience in the energy or manufacturing sectors is a plus.

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position is $122750 - $156850. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
