Emissions Analyst/Stack Testing Technicians are responsible for performing Federal and State mandated source testing at oil and natural gas midstream facilities using methods established by the Environmental Protection Agency. Sources typically include natural gas internal combustion engines and turbines. Emissions Analyst/ Stack Testing Technicians are involved in all aspects of planning and executing projects, including but not limited to scheduling, planning, regulatory notifications, field execution, data reduction, and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for conducting engine Air Emissions testing to determine the concentration of pollutants from internal combustion engine sources in the Petrochemical, Refining, Natural Gas industries.
Responsible for providing field testing services to operations, maintenance, compliance and reliability compression equipment.
Responsible for independently running a testing trailer.
Coordinates with client and state, as applicable, both prior to, during, and after test program mobilization.
Develops test protocols, preliminary test reports, and final test reports.
Performs field testing to gather data on stack measurements of various pollutants including carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, sulfur dioxide, volatile organic compounds and HAPs (relating to reciprocating engines and natural gas turbines).
Conducts and analyzes field samples.
Responsible for the calibration, maintenance and/or repair of sampling equipment.
Mobilizes equipment to the field-testing site.
Compiles and analyzes data and prepares written technical reports.
Efficiently read and understand federal, state and local regulations and test methods.
Communicate with management, associates, clients, and regulators both in writing and verbally.
Maintain ongoing relationships with clients.
Ability to independently handle atypical field situations such as engine compliance failures, including suggesting resolutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong mathematical ability and mechanical aptitude.
Analyze and deduce data.
Must have good driving record.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in the area of emission testing and/or mechanical and performance equipment analysis, or related field.
