The on-site/normal shift hours will be 6pm- 2:30am, M-F and alternating on call weekend during soup season, typically July - November.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide strong safety leadership and ensure that employee’s safety is the primary objective of the maintenance team
Ensure compliance with all safety requirements
Model safe behaviors and personal work practices
Ensure maintenance personnel stay current with all required training
Provide feedback to direct reports through coaching and mid-year and year-end reviews
Manage department vacation schedules to ensure adequate staffing
Review and approve timecards for the department
Ensure overtime hours are minimized
Ensure trouble calls are resolved in a timely manner
Ensure maintenance KPIs are trending positively
Ensure quality standards for maintenance work are upheld
Evaluate the departments training needs and assist in the training
Provide direction in the prioritization of planned work
Ensure adherence to work order process
Facilitate good communication with all groups in the organization25% - Lead the team to execute daily TPM initiatives
Participate in Daily Direction Setting and other meetings as necessary

Required Qualifications/Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Food manufacturing maintenance and engineering experience preferred.
Computer skills – working knowledge of SAP, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Operations experience with a strong understanding of various plant functions.
Strong drive and initiative to make improvements in a variety of areas with a minimum of supervision.
Strong commitment to personal development and growth.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills - relies on facts and data.
Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
