Job Description:

Provides for the safe and effective transportation of corporate executives and other personnel to enhance their productivity. Provides executive travel flexibility and more efficient use of executive and managerial travel time. .



Essential Functions


  • Provides time-critical Corporate Aviation transport of FedEx flight crews, maintenance parts, and personnel as needed to field locations to ensure that FedEx cargo reaches its destination on schedule, thereby ensuring company profitability and public confidence in the FedEx service.

  • Operates and controls aircraft per trip requirements and during takeoffs and landings.

  • Monitors engines, fuel consumption, and other aircraft systems during flight.

  • Responds to changing conditions, such as weather events and emergencies (for example, a mechanics malfunction).

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education



Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent operation/industry experience in corporate aviation.


Airline transport pilot certificate with multi-engine & instrument rating (without limitation).



Minimum Experience



1500 hours total fixed wing time as pilot in command (PIC) or second in command in multi-engine turboprop or jet aircraft or combination thereof.


500 hours minimum total fixed wing pilot in command in multi-engine turbo prop or jet aircraft equal to or greater than 12,500 lbs.


Pilot in command is defined in accordance with FAR 1.1 and not as sole manipulator of the controls. Recency of experience is required.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



Strong interpersonal skills required.



Job Conditions



Must possess a FAA first class medical certificate (obtained within the preceding 12 months).


Must have 20/20 correctable vision.


Corporate Aviation safety sensitive position.


Subject to random alcohol & drug testing.


Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
