The Senior Quality Director will create and maintain a quality culture throughout Ardagh Glass Packaging - North America (AGP-NA). In addition, this position will develop and lead the business strategic quality plan in collaboration with the AGP-NA Leadership Team and other regional and business leaders. This role provides strategic decision-making, leadership, planning, and prioritization to meet business and quality/compliance objectives.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance from a quality perspective for AGP-NA
  • Analyze data to identify process improvement opportunities within glass manufacturing operations
  • Establish action plans for glass processes and projects and assign responsibilities to various teams
  • Carry out project review meetings to ascertain progress keeping the AGP-NA leadership team abreast of quality performance and trends
  • Establish proactive quality assurance plans for glass plants
  • Study processes, document the flow, and identify opportunities to automate or eliminate steps leading to improved quality performance
  • Coordinate with various internal teams to drive quality-related action plans
  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis of errors to prepare action plans
  • Train, mentor, and guide on various quality concepts and key performance indicators
  • Drive performance by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference
  • Work with internal contacts to implement any and all changes necessary to the facility or equipment that will improve current processes
  • Support quality activities within the plants by driving standardization, best-day history methodology, consistent methodology/processes, and preventive maintenance effectiveness/compliance
  • Assign projects, establish realistic goals, and evaluate the results of the work



Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in quality, reliability, and supplier quality
  • Demonstrated success in creating and maintaining a culture of quality in a large global organization
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in performing internal and external quality audits
  • Site liaison, coordinator, and lead for all current and future regulatory agencies
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in planning, coordinating, and leading QMS management reviews
  • Expertise in root cause and corrective action
  • Create and communicate an overall vision for quality within the company, setting goals and recommending organizational changes to achieve these goals
  • Communicate the company's quality system to customers
  • Create an environment conducive to continuous quality improvement and implement systems to nurture quality excellence
  • Direct activities of company-wide quality staff and departmental activities to ensure product quality through test procedures and processes
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events that provide immediate improvement results
  • Ability to travel up to 75%



Preferred skills / qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in glass manufacturing
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, team-focused approach and proven leadership track record, including people development and project management



Compensation


The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $xx,xxx and xx,xxx per year. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
