The Material Handler (Stockroom) is responsible for ensuring received inventory is properly stored in designated product areas. This position works closely with other Material Handlers (Receiving/Shipping) to ensure inventory has been counted and processed. In the stockroom, the Material Handler is responsible for pulling product inventory to meet the specs of each job and prepare and deliver kits to the production floor. The Material Handler will use Epicore to assign issued products to their respective job codes. This position is responsible for pulling 'ship loose' inventory and ensuring those products are sent to Shipping. Moving, storing, and handling a variety of materials is expected of this role. The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining a safe, well-organized, clean, and successfully operating stockroom.
Practice, promote, and comply with OBE’s Safety Program in stockroom area and beyond.
Ensure received inventory is properly stored in designated product areas.
Work with Material Handling to ensure received products have been counted and processed.
Pull inventory to meet the specs of each job.
Holds issuing credentials to supply inventory materials to production floor for each job.
Responsible for all job order kits to the production floor for assembly of products.
Prepare hardware parts; clips, hinges, screws for external paint vendors.
Utilize and maintain Epicore to assign issued products to their respective job codes.
Enter material movements within Epicore as needed.
Keep thorough records of products’ supply and demand trends.
Pull ‘ship loose’ inventory and ensure products are sent to Shipping.
Unpack materials, load and unload pallets and cases.
Identify, label, and record the location of materials and supplies.
Respond to materials requests from all departments in a timely manner.
Timely communicate via email/verbally with Purchasing + Quality + Accounting leaders regarding any inventory discrepancies or vendor quality issues.
Use ladder, scale, pallet jack.
Actively engage in cross-training employees in Material Handling (Stockroom) assignments.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, well-organized, clean, successfully operating stockroom.
Other duties as assigned.

Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high
The plant facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity)
Chemicals, dust, pollen, and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production floor and may create some odors in the plant. The Company provides its employees with a safe and healthy working environment, limits exposure to chemicals through written procedures, engineering controls, and PPE
Exposure to chemicals/fumes, pinch points, exposure to excessive noise, strain/sprain, laceration/puncture, particulate exposure, contusion, temperature extremes, slipping, burns, shock, loss of limbs
While the chemical exposure and odors are under acceptable levels set by OSHA and ANSI, they nevertheless, can be smelled and are handled according to the company’s hazardous communication program
Personal Protective Equipment is required to be worn per position/OBE’s safety program standards.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, bend, twist, carry, walk, and reach frequently
Ability to lift/move 75 pounds intermittently
Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor; wearing steel-toed shoes with metatarsal guards and other safety equipment for eight to ten hours per day
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment without temperature or humidity control
