RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking a P&C Security Systems Engineer.

Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the programming and commissioning of access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The P&C Security Systems Engineer will be responsible for the technical delivery of security systems, including access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems. This role will involve programming and commissioning of systems, troubleshooting and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize ticketing system to track and report service updates with stakeholders and support staff


• Coordinate programming and commissioning with security vendors & project management team


• Perform root cause analysis and basic troubleshooting to remediate system and device failures


• Collaborate with Project Managers and Security Architects to plan and execute new builds & service

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or installation field experience


• Certified in Genetec Ominicast & Gallagher Access Technician


• Experience with Plan Grid or Autodesk construction cloud


• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite


• Understand segmentation or partitioning in a system


• Basic understanding of electrical principles including AC/DC circuits, relay logic & PLC's


• Experience and understanding of enterprise system architecture


• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Strong team player, self-motivated and ability to work independently and pro-actively if required


• Customer-focused with strong written and verbal communications skills


• Proven expertise in managing systems emergencies in an efficient and orderly fashion


• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, activities, and events simultaneously


• Effectively interact with security vendors and Security Systems Engineers to ensure and maintain quality customer relationships globally


• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to drive results in a multicultural and global environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
