This position will provide specialized research to the Boerwinkle Clinical and Research fMRI lab in the Neurology Department. The position will study the resting state fMRI primarily childhood epilepsy and other neurological disorders for both clinical and research purposes.
Primary responsibilities include managing and analyzing individual patient resting state MRI data. Responsibilities include performing moderate to complex specific laboratory procedures, testing etc, utilizing techniques and technology related to this specialized scientific field.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
The candidate must be comfortable with programming in Matlab and a statistical language including R, Statistica, and/or SPSS. Previous specialized laboratory experience is required. Must be knowledgeable in the use of specialized laboratory equipment. Working knowledge of lab procedures, techniques and testing related to specialized scientific field.
Experience with prior neuroimaging research experience and familiarity with analysis of functional and structural MRI data (knowledge of FSL, Brainsuite, Freesurfer).
