Sr Asst Dir of Visit Experience

Manage Admissions Welcome Center and work with stakeholders to optimize the prospective student Visit Experience an ensure effective customer service approach. Leverage data to optimize visitor experience and evaluate effectiveness of daily visits and campus programs. Oversee the operation of the student ambassador program. Serve as chief strategist and mentor to student ambassador program. Ensure AdvoCat program outputs align with communications and public relations efforts. Work collaboratively with AdvoCat coordinator to oversee the development of schedules, tracking of hours and attendance. Provide supervision to one or more admissions counselors and Assistant Welcome Center Manager. Provide budget oversight. Manage geographic recruitment territory and conduct activities to support the recruitment of academically qualified and diverse students. Conduct large and small group presentations. Represent UVM at on and off-campus events, i.e. high schools, college fairs, evening programs and admitted student receptions. Review applications and make admissions decisions. Serve as counselor of the day on a scheduled basis and perform additional admissions officer duties required of counseling staff.
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of related experience required. Effective oral and written communication skills required. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and familiarity with CRM technology required. Demonstrated multicultural competency and a commitment to recruit a diverse student population. Ability to travel outside Vermont is required.
Experience leading undergraduate student groups highly desirable.
Experience to supervising student employees desirable.

A probationary period may be required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Background Check required for this position
