POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Controller (RC) works within a matrix organization and reports directly to the Regional Vice President (RVP) (solid line) and to the Regional CFO (dotted line). The RCs functional regional accounting and financial support is primarily provided through the shared services departments located in Waco, Houston and Cincinnati.
The RC is a passionate advocate for the business and keeps the region focused on organizational performance to meet both the annual budget and support the regions long term strategy. The RC is a key member of the region leadership team and serves as a business partner to the RVP on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to finance. The RC is depended upon to provide timely and critical financial and operational information to the RVP and region managers and to make actionable strategy and operations recommendations.
He or she is an experienced finance leader who not only manages the financials, but also contributes to broad business decisions, is a business partner to the RVP and to regional operational and sales leaders as well. The role provides leadership to process improvement, scaling finance infrastructure and operations, and building and developing the regional team of financing and accounting professionals.
The RC is directly responsible for the financial operations of the region and works closely with the RVP and other region managers to define and lead the execution of short-term and long-term growth goals through leadership and strategic planning.
The RC is responsible for leading all activities related to the finance function for the company including financial planning, forecasting, analysis and budgeting. In addition, the RC has full financial statement responsibility which includes operations analysis, budget and planning, controllership, internal controls and organizational development. The RC ensures that the highest controllership standards are maintained including those related to stewardship of assets and integrity of financial transactions.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
Experience: Seven+ years in equipment dealer, rental and/or business service sector. Five+ years experience managing accounting and the finance process. Three+ years of experience in a position equivalent to a controller or higher responsibilities for a service company with annual revenues over $50 million. CPA Strongly Preferred
Computer Skills: Exceptional computer skills in the operation of all programs used by the organization including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Equipsoft, Adaptive Planning, and OneStream.
Other Requirements: Ability to deliver clear and concise written and verbal presentations. Must be able to effectively communicate with people operating at all levels of the company in a variety of situations. Travel less than 35%
