KNOWLEDGEABLE: High School Diploma or equivalent and previous experience in payroll required; union reporting experience a plus but not required
TECHNICAL: Advanced MS Office and excel skills, including Vlookup and Pivot tables; experience with construction software ERP preferred
ORGANIZED: Able to prioritize and follow up to manage projects and deadlines
A COMMUNICATOR: Effectively communicate verbally and written to varied levels of audiences; comfortable asking questions and providing input and explanation
What you'll do:
CRUNCH THE NUMBERS: Process weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees, ensuring all calculations and details are correct; process payroll garnishments as needed
UNION REPORTS: Complete, document, and submit union reports monthly; assist with union audits as required; maintain union rates and fringes
DOCUMENT & PROCESS: Maintain and submit documents related to time-entry, Federal 941 and state payroll tax payments and returns, year-end payroll, and W2 preparation
ASSIST EMPLOYEES: Answer employee questions; complete employment verifications and unemployment claims; enter new employees and employee changes into payroll programs
BUILD RELATIONSHIPS: Build and maintain positive relationships with payroll and accounting teams, other office staff, and internal and external customers.

PAY $28.50 to $32.68
