The Senior Network Engineer will lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of our corporate and cloud-based networks. This role ensures robust network performance, scalability, and security, while keeping IS staff and leadership informed on network status, capacity, and best practices. This role will pay between $115,000 per year to 140,000 per year. This depends on experience and skills aligned to the role. This is a hybrid role and they will not accept candidates that need to relocate. Also- we are not accepting candidates from third party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity across sites, servers, workstations, and network appliances.
Configure and manage network devices, including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Meraki routers, switches, and firewalls.
Proactively monitor network performance using advanced tools, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with vendors for resolution.
Conduct regular reviews of network infrastructure and submit reports with recommendations for improvements.
Maintain up-to-date network documentation, configuration files, and performance baselines.
Support datacenter operations, including resource allocation for ongoing IS initiatives.
Lead projects to enhance network functionality or resolve existing challenges.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in an on-call rotation for high-priority infrastructure incidents.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, including PCI, ESD, and safety protocols.
Perform after-hours work for maintenance, upgrades, and approved changes as needed.
Technical Expertise:
Certification and experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto networking equipment.
In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) and VPN solutions.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, IOS-XE, NX-OS, and Palo Alto firewalls.
Familiarity with F5 load balancing, multicast, unicast, and Layer 3 VPN.
Experience with cloud-based computing solutions (PaaS, SaaS) and wireless networking.
