Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $115k - $125/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable and high-performance architecture for enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
API Development: Design and develop RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and external systems.
Containerization: Implement containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to enhance deployment processes and application scalability.
Cloud Integration: Architect solutions utilizing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and optimized performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with front-end teams to integrate modern web applications using frameworks like Angular and ReactJS, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
Code Quality: Establish coding standards, best practices, and design patterns to uphold high-quality software deliverables.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the architecture.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and design documents.
Requirements:
You are:
10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java technologies.
3+ years of experience in an architectural role, designing and implementing enterprise-level applications.
Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Knowledge of modern web application frameworks like Angular and ReactJS.
Understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
