Location: Fairfax, VA

Clearance: Top Secret (must have the ability to obtain a SCI scope if needed)

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or similar field preferred, relevant work experience may be substituted.
  • IA certification (either Security+ or CISSP).

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a system administrator.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Linux operating system.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Podman) and associated technologies a plus.
  • Good knowledge of several scripting languages.
  • GITLAB and puppet experience desirable.
  • General understanding of IP networks, switching, subnets and VLANs.
  • General understanding of hardware to include Servers, Network Storage Options, PDUS, KVMs, etc.
  • Ability to respond to support requests after hours.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with LDAP clients/servers.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.

Job Duties:

  • Proactively manage system infrastructure including, databases, testing computer equipment, and other software and hardware.
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that may arise.
  • Perform system monitoring and analysis verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting of servers, software and hardware and respond to anomalies.
  • Regularly upgrade system software and firmware as required.
  • Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system.
