JOB SUMMARY FOR BUYER:
This position is a Buyer role within the Logistics division, focusing on procurement and strategic sourcing to support operational efficiency. The role involves analyzing data, tracking key performance indicators, and optimizing supplier performance to meet organizational goals. It offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement within logistics operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BUYER:
Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining supplier relationships.
Track, audit, and report key performance indicators to evaluate supplier and operational efficiency.
Perform data analysis, cleansing, and visualization using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Support large-scale strategic sourcing projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Provide supplier performance direction and prioritize shipping needs based on business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics processes and drive continuous improvement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR BUYER:
Bachelor's degree (supply chain management, business, or economics highly preferred)
3-5 years of related experience
Will not accept internships as experience.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR BUYER:
Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.
Experience in Power BI/Tableau dashboards
Data Mining, cleansing, and enhancement
Reports charts and graphs
Strong written and verbal communication
Presentations
Self-motivated, organized and ability to prioritize workload w/little direction
