POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with the operational leadership teams to ensure the quality system and operational processes are documented and implemented. This position will provide leadership and support to the operations team and downstream quality team members for quality system and certification requirements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish, maintain and continually improve overall quality management system for multiple sites
Lead and oversee implementation activities for new business start-ups and implementation of certification programs.
Oversee audits to ensure site compliance with all applicable internal and external regulatory standards (i.e. FDA, AIB, BRC, Food Safety & Food Defense, HACCP/HARPC, QSR/GMP, Process Compliance, etc.)
Provide training and support in higher level quality system and food certification processes for the Quality Coordinator I role
Create and implement current corporate programs in accordance with document control procedures. Support site-level procedure maintenance with process owners, providing cadenced updates to leadership
Lead the implementation of new processes and documentation
Oversee the Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) process, including review of actions taken with operations management, effectiveness verification, closure, and trending complaints
Serve as the point of contact at the site level for quality-related issues/initiatives
Provide guidance to operations on interpretation of, and changes to, regulatory and certification requirements
Maintain strategic partnerships with various individuals/teams including next-level Quality Management, site operations management teams, site Quality Champions and appropriate customer contacts to ensure needs are met

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience
3 - 5+ years of quality experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment preferred
Previous experience in Food Safety Quality Systems and/or certification (AIB or SQF) preferred
HACCP and/or PCQI certifications highly preferred
Previous experience in electronic document control and management and multi-shift operations preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma training or certification preferred
Capabilities
