Role Description/Purpose:
The Safety Health Environment & Security (SHE&S) Specialist for Minova, you will fill a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees within the facility. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses. The SHE&S Specialist coordinates with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Shift: 1st shift (8-hour days, Mon - Fri)
Location: Tooele, Utah (On-site)

Responsibilities:
Promoting Safety Culture:
Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with employees, supervisors, and management to raise awareness of safety issues and encourage active participation in safety initiatives.
Monitoring Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulation, as well as company policies and procedures.
Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Safety Training:
Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire drills, and medical emergency protocols. Ensure all employees are trained in emergency procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes, equipment, and training programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance workplace safety.

Critical Experience/Skills/Education
Associate's degree in occupational health and safety
3 + years of relevant experience, manufacturing and/or mining experience is a plus!
