The Sustainability Manager leads Cascade's global initiatives in environmental responsibility and corporate sustainability, with a specific focus on reducing carbon emissions from industrial manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sustainability practices, environmental management, regulatory compliance, and the ability to develop and implement strategies that align with our commitment to sustainable business practices.

Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy with a specific emphasis on reducing CO2 emissions, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and aligning with the organization's goals and values.
Conduct sustainability assessments, with a focus on carbon footprint analysis and regulatory compliance, to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices across operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles, specifically CO2 reduction measures and regulatory requirements, into various business functions, including supply chain, operations, and product development.
Monitor and report on key sustainability performance indicators, emphasizing CO2 metrics and regulatory compliance, ensuring transparency and accountability in our sustainability efforts.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging sustainability practices related to CO2 reduction and regulatory compliance to continually enhance our sustainability initiatives.
Engage with stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, and community partners, to foster a culture of sustainability, with a specific focus on reducing CO2 emissions and meeting regulatory standards.
Lead the development and execution of sustainability communication strategies, both internally and externally, highlighting our commitment to CO2 reduction and regulatory compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in sustainability management, with a focus on CO2 reduction, regulatory compliance, and permitting.
A track record of successfully implementing sustainability initiatives and driving measurable results.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations, carbon footprint analysis, and sustainable business practices.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP) is a plus.
Experience working in a global manufacturing company is a plus.
REPORTING STRUCTURE & POSITION DYNAMICS
The Sustainability Manager is an exempt, individual contributor position, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Services Manager. The position has no direct reports or supervisory responsibility. General discretion and judgement are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties. If errors in judgement or professional execution of responsibilities are made, the consequences to the company can be serious.
This position interacts regularly with various internal and external stakeholders on all levels, such as the executive leadership team, manufacturing/production teams, finance, customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and community organizations.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed primarily in an office environment that is climate controlled. Periodic work outside the office and shop areas that may or may not have climate controls will be required. This is a full-time position: Days and hours worked will mirror the business operations which typically runs Monday to Friday; May work more than eight consecutive hours at a time or more than 40 hours in a seven-day work period depending on work demands. Occasional evening and weekend work might be necessary.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement where the job functions may be performed remotely for some percentage of time; the ability to be on-site is a requirement. The hybrid work environment will be available after the employee demonstrates the capability to manage tasks and time commitments.
Some domestic and international travel (approx. 10%) is required to visit other Cascade locations. Must have access to reliable transportation and must be able to travel via most efficient mode for work related travel i.e., airplane.
The individual may encounter pressure in meeting business needs, balancing competing deadlines and resource constraints. Situations must be handled in a manner that meets business needs and does not negatively impact customer satisfaction. Customers are both internal and external.
