Our global offshore wind client is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Storekeeper to join their US team in Providence, RI. This is a full-time opportunity for junior-level candidates to enter the booming industry of offshore wind and get hands-on experience with supply chain and logistical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Receive and verify incoming stock against purchase orders and invoices.
Store items in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
Conduct regular inventory checks to identify discrepancies and adjust records accordingly.
Maintain accurate inventory records using a computer-based inventory management system.
Issuing and Receiving: Issue materials, equipment, and supplies to authorized personnel upon request.
Verify requisitions and ensure proper documentation and authorization.
Receive returned items, inspect for damage, and update inventory records.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Implement effective storage and retrieval methods to optimize space utilization.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Report any safety concerns or incidents to your supervisor immediately.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
Valid and clean driver's license
Previous experience in a warehouse or storekeeping role preferred
