Field Service Technician - Travel Required (Up to 50%)
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for working with advanced industrial equipment? We're looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team and play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of surface preparation equipment worldwide. This role does welcome out of state candidates, who are okay with Travel expectations.
What You'll Do:
Travel globally to install and start up industrial blast equipment (up to 50% travel).
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, bridging the gap between technical and engineering teams.
Work closely with engineering and sales to prepare bids and resolve technical issues.
Troubleshoot equipment issues on-site and remotely, conducting thorough root cause analysis.
Maintain, repair, and validate the performance of complex mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
Provide hands-on training to customers and team members on proper equipment operation.
Create clear technical manuals, instructions, and reports to support both internal teams and customers.
Collaborate with engineering on product development and improvements, ensuring solutions meet customer needs.
Who You Are:
You have an AAS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
You've got 2+ years of experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
You understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including PLCs and industrial ventilation.
You can read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.
You have strong communication skills and thrive in customer-facing situations.
You're a critical thinker and problem solver who can work both independently and as part of a team.
You're excited about traveling and engaging with customers across the globe.
