Swoon is actively seeking a Dispatcher to join the team of our client - a leading energy and electric company!
You'll be an integral part of the team - in conjunction with System Operator and appropriate supervisors, contacts, directs and dispatches personnel to respond to service problems and emergencies.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Direct and dispatch work crews to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
Coordinates activities with Distribution and Transmission system operators to ensure the safe and effective use of resources.
Informs Distribution and Transmission system operators of critical information to ensure the most effective and safe response to customers.
Interact with the client and contractor crews performing work and restoration on the system in a professional manner.
Interact with the 911 centers in a professional manner and ensure all required information is transmitted between the parties to allow the client and emergency personnel to respond to emergencies in the most efficient and safest way possible.
Receives and handles calls during emergency conditions and service interruptions.\
Performs in a courteous and professional manner while satisfying customer inquiries and complaints, both verbal and written.
Promotes high standards of customer and public relations.
Calls out, directs and dispatches personnel, secures assistance or requests help from other departments as necessary.
Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to ensure the most effective use of resources.
