Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Controller I (Entry Level/Intern) position based in Mobile, AL. The candidate will primarily support uploading document metadata, ensuring quality and accuracy of documents, and maintaining the organization of files within our document management system. Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required. No referral bonuses will be offered with this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Verifies project documents received/sent for transmittal are accurate and in compliance with project document control requirements.
Inputs document data attributes into the EDMS and ensures data integrity by verifying input.
Processes and maintains revision history of all project technical documentation including supplier and sub-contractor drawings, and other data.
May prepare transmittals, distributes and files electronic documents in accordance with project requirements.
Ensures project documents are available for quick retrieval upon request.
Consistently perform quality checks on data received, processed information and stored files.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required; preferably pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Project Management or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Good organization and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Understands document processing principles, and practices.
