Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer 4 to join our team. This non-managerial, non-leadership role involves identifying, analyzing, and assessing safety and mission risks to establish aerospace system, product, or service safety mitigations and control methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, analyze, and assess safety and mission risks to establish aerospace system, product, or service safety mitigations and control methods.
Conduct system research and analysis to identify potential or investigate reported in-service fleet hazards, risks, and safety concerns, and quantify their impact.
Identify systemic root causes of safety and mission assurance issues and recommend corrective actions using industry best practices.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety, mission success, and airworthiness requirements into designs, operations, and procedures.
Verify that systems meet defined safety and mission assurance requirements through tests, analyses, inspections, audits, and simulations.
Create and maintain aerospace safety and mission assurance training, tools, and resources.
Document safety analysis, hazard mitigation, validation, and verification activities in compliance with relevant customer and regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain corrective action plans.
Demonstrate safety hazard risk mitigations and control methods to customers and regulators.
Ensure mission success through the execution of Mission Assurance activities throughout the program lifecycle.
Establish, promote, and enact strategies and initiatives to enhance global aerospace safety.
Qualifications:
Advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's degree).
Typically 7 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD + 2 years' related work experience, Master's + 5 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience with safety and mission assurance in aerospace systems.
Familiarity with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
