Provide engineering technical development, oversight, project execution and project management responsibilities in support of new, commercially driven projects as well as sustaining projects. Candidate will be responsible to coordinate and communicate with the various Tallgrass commercial and operational groups to support business development and be expected to take a defined business commitment, apply basic engineering analytical concepts, and develop a project and engineering/execution plan for the successful completion of a project to meet the business objectives.
Candidate will also lead the improvement and further development of Project Controls processes to ensure that proper cost and schedule controls are in place to predict costs and timing of outcomes, schedule, and scope variances within capital and sustaining projects expense activities.
Work with Tallgrass's various customers, the general public, government agencies and other stakeholders to communicate the project goals and objectives to advance the project from concept to design/engineering to construction and ultimately through realization of operations.Minimum requirements:
Education:
Project Manager - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management, or equivalent from an accredited institution along with 8 years of relevant job experience.
Senior Project Manager - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management, or equivalent from an accredited institution along with 12 years of relevant job experience.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
Has led min 3 complete EPC projects, one of them valued greater than $1Bn TIC, and at least one project which involves innovative/complex execution strategies due to location, business objectives, new market developments, or new technologies
Proven track record in the management of basic and detailed engineering activities of very large process plants
Proven ability and desire to mentor junior Project Engineering Managers and members of the Engineering and Design team to come together for successful execution of mega projects
Strong organizational, communication and facilitation skills
Ability to bring team together to achieve project targets and goals.
Good commercial awareness with ability to manage change.
Must have 10 Years of experience in Major Projects environment with direct work experience in engineering or project management of natural gas or hazardous liquid pipeline or facility projects including high-pressure gas and liquid transmission, metering, compression, pump station, storage, truck loading terminals, gathering, treating, and processing.
Must have full complement of project management skills including project scoping and estimating utilizing work breakdown structures, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, team building, resource planning, procurement, and permitting.
Must possess basic understanding of midstream and downstream projects. Must have experience in executing large midstream pipeline, compressor and pump stations, marine export terminal projects.
Must have executed at least one Major Capital Project with a TIC of USD 200MM or more.
Must have extensive experience in developing Major Projects with a development portfolio of USD 1 Billion
Must have very strong analytical skills that are required to develop concepts while working in partnership with Commercial.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be accountable for the development of complex execution strategies to successfully complete the work, including engaging with multiple execution centers around the world, third party engineering firms and specialty contractors
You will be expected to expertly translate project goals into executable plans.
You will be directly engaged with Project Management, Construction Management, Project Controls Management, and Supply Chain Management key partners in ensuring that the Project is fully integrated into the budget and schedule for the project.
You will be expected to drive a collaborative relationship within multi-offices and multi - cultural environments to meet project goals.
In addition to leading the Project team, you will review and assess performance against the project's engineering schedule, and handle changes to mitigate impact to the scope, budget, or schedule of a project.
Develop overall Engineering and Design Execution Strategy, Construction and Commissioning strategies and ensure completion of the Project on time and on budget.
Provide key inputs to the Project Execution Strategies (Modularization, Procurement and Contracting, Construction Pkg, etc.) and make strategic decisions that affect the cross functional areas of responsibility.
Ensure alignment of engineering activities with the Procurement and Contracts Plan, and the Project Construction Plan and commissioning plan
Direct internal and external resources to produce delivery on schedule and on budget, monitoring progress and performance.
Empower the project team to meet critical goals.
Risk Management
Oversee Worldwide sourcing of major commodities such as equipment, modules, and fabricated pipe and steel.
Construction execution planning and backwards support planning to support path of construction.
Familiarity with the contents of fabrication and construction packages, typically: Piling and Foundation Design, Civil Design (Underground drainage, buildings, road, fencing, etc.), Shop-fabricated Pipe and Steel, Mechanical Design (Pipe & Structural steel), Electrical & Instrument Design, Insulation & Painting, etc.
