We are seeking an Account Manager to be responsible for developing strong customer relationships and growing business, sales and related services to our customers in and around our branch in Memphis, TN.  Account Managers partner with our Specialists, supplier representatives, and customer experience teams to offer new and existing customers a wide variety of solutions designed to improve their bottom line.  This is a great opportunity for a sales-minded professional who has a desire or interest in working with industrial tools.

Summary of Key Responsibilities


  • Manage multiple accounts within an assigned territory, ensuring that a high level of customer retention and satisfaction is maintained

  • Establish and implement sales growth plan for each customer and location

  • Gain consistent understanding of our Value Proposition and execute it

  • Always look for ways to provide value to our customers, documenting cost savings and reporting back to the customer

  • Partner with local supplier representatives and Specialists to create value and improved efficiencies for all customers

  • Develop a pipeline of customer prospects through networking, referrals, research and cold calling, utilizing our CRM (Proton AI)

  • Plan, organize and schedule territory development

  • Keep updated on product and industry knowledge

  • Mastery of Stellar systems, tools and programs

  • Strive to constantly improve

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Passion for helping people solve dynamic problems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to interpret complex information

  • Self-motived with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

  • Ability to listen effectively and interpret customer needs

  • Ability to prioritize workload and be detail oriented

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Valid driver license

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel overnight, specifically for training and sales meetings

Experience


  • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably within industrial or manufacturing industry

  • Strong mechanical or technical aptitude is a plus

  • Experience with cutting tools, metalworking, tapes, abrasives or adhesives is desired, but not required

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
