Responsibilities

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) seeks a dynamic Rail and Transit Program Manager to join our team. As a key player in our transportation projects, you'll have the chance to make a tangible impact and leave your mark on the landscape of North Texas. LAN has a distinguished track record in program management, construction management, and design for major transit authorities in North Texas, including DCTA, DART, and Trinity Metro. We've also been instrumental in delivering design and program management services to Capital Metro, Houston Metro, and San Antonio Via.   • Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining project quality standards.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans and communication documents.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication.
  • Estimating resource requirements and budget proposals.
  • Identifying and resolving project issues and dependencies.
  • Planning and tracking project timelines and milestones.
  • Delivering progress reports and proposals.
  • Managing changes in project scope and implementing contingency plans.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supervising project team members and contractors.
  • Cultivating and nurturing client relationships, leading proposal preparations, and presenting to client boards.




  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in commuter, light rail, and other transit or rail programs (minimum of $100 million in project value).
  • Current or obtainable Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Texas.
  • Familiarity with AREMA and other rail/track standards and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of alternative project delivery methods.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
