The Sourcing Director is responsible for the strategic and tactical execution required to ensure Customer needs are met. This role has procurement oversight for all goods and services. The Sourcing Director uses tools, data and experience to make sure we have the right parts, on time, at the best price. The Sourcing Director will coordinate with the Operations Team (Warehouse, Customer Service and IT Directors) to implement and execute Operational goals. Responsibilities include:
Utilize StockIQ to review inventory status and approve recommended purchases
Analyze SIQ data to evaluate demand, trends and Vendor performance
Evaluate and incorporate Customer forecasts into the purchasing process
Identify, build and maintain Vendor relationships
Manage and develop the Sourcing Team
Establish and maintain processes to evaluate and manage costs
Coordinate with the Product Management team to effectively onboard new items
Additional Sourcing initiatives as assigned
Experience, Education and Skill Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business/supply chain management or 10 years of experience
Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel
Highly skilled in ERP/WMS systems
Extraordinary attention to detail
Demonstrated success in a Sourcing/Supply Chain role
Effectively communicates (both oral and written) with all levels of the Organization
Work Environment
The Sourcing Director role is usually performed in a typical office setting, under the supervision of the COO. There will be occasional need to perform work in a warehouse setting where all stated and posted safety precautions must be followed. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, partners and others encountered in the course of work is critical.
