We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality team and ensure the highest standards across our manufacturing operations. This is a salaried position and offers an opportunity to oversee the entire quality process on the shop floor, focusing on our custom automated conveyors.
Position Summary:
As the Quality Manager, you will work closely with our Plant Manager to manage quality processes, oversee two quality inspectors, and maintain a comprehensive approach to quality assurance across all production phases. Your role will include reviewing the entire production line, ensuring critical aspects like guarding, torque documentation, sprocket and gear alignment, and overall quality control are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee quality processes for the entire product line, ensuring system-wide integrity.
Review and update quality documentation, using data to inform improvements.
Conduct root cause analysis when quality standards are not met and implement corrective actions.
Monitor alignment, torque, and other specifications for machinery and ensure compliance.
Leverage Six Sigma/Green Belt methodologies to enhance quality processes.
Perform weld inspections as necessary; welding knowledge is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of experience in a quality management role, preferably in manufacturing.
Familiarity with welding and weld inspection.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
Track record of stability; limited job-hopping preferred.
