The Planner II at BioPhase will play a vital role in production planning and inventory control to support the goals of our business line. This position ensures efficient and timely production, inventory optimization, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Essential Functions:
Maintain planning parameters in master item data to drive accurate MRP orders.
Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure timely production completion and optimal inventory levels.
Utilize MRP and manual planning to make informed decisions on order quantities.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve production planning and scheduling.
Investigate and resolve planning issues, shipping shortages, and potential backorders.
Monitor production planning metrics for effectiveness and adjust as necessary.
Manage scrap reporting, oversee inventory for assigned areas, and adjust planning parameters for forecast changes.
Coordinate production schedules with other departments, adjusting for holidays and events as needed.
Perform master scheduling tasks in the absence of the Planning Manager.
Lead or participate in process improvement projects.
Interactions:
This role involves communication with internal customers regarding production schedules, backorder status, and production releases. The Planner II will also engage with internal suppliers, share scrap reports, and lead or support cross-functional problem-solving and improvement initiatives.
