Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Body Imaging with a focus on Pediatric Diagnostic Radiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Radiology eligibility and completion of fellowship training in pediatric radiology or equivalent is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching residents and fellows during readouts and conferences and participate in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties. Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition, the candidate will prepare case-based learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review.
Clinical responsibilities may include clinical coverage in the areas of Ultrasound (US), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Fluoroscopy, Inpatient Reading, Outpatient Reading, and coverage at the Specialty Centers when necessary. The candidate may also be assigned to in house coverage on evenings, nights and weekends.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include the candidate to be active in clinical or basic research. The successful candidate will have prior research experience with research training to at least the level of a clinical research certificate program or an equivalent mentored research experience during training, and have demonstrated evidence of peer reviewed scholarship during training. Ample support and mentorship for research will be provided.
