SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Overall responsibility for successfully executing assigned projects within scope, schedule and budget, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Thoroughly reviews and fully comprehends the requirements of a project per the contract documentation, Sales Scope Letter, and other supporting documents.
Evaluates all project budgetary categories and develops a plan to "meet or beat" these budgetary limits. Works with sales and estimating teams to refine pricing models as underbidding is identified.
Develops a project schedule at the appropriate detail within the project management module in NetSuite. Project plans will be completed in conjunction with the Contractor/Owner's schedule. Regularly reviews and revises the schedule as required.
Liaise with Production team to understand deliverables and associated milestones.
Coordinates with Project Engineering resources on the development of Field Instrumentation Submittals, panel design and Panel Hardware Submittals. Follow up with customer to ensure customer acceptance of submittals within the allocated timeframe.
Meets with the project team, as needed, on questions regarding the HMI application software, graphic displays, PLC application software requirements, development, schedules, and implementation.
Executes projects according to Inframark's Best Practices and Project Methodology.
Meets regularly with Regional Vice President (RVP), in advance of weekly S&OP meetings, to ensure customers' expectations are met by production team.
Coordinates all Quality Control reviews and on-site demonstrations with customers and the production team.
Evaluates project issues and find solutions that are acceptable to all and are also in the best interests of Inframark.
Works with finance to review Customer billing schedule for each project and ensure that billing process matches contractual agreements and verifies timely payment.
Completes all required regular project reporting including management updates, Work-in-Progress updates, revenue, and resource labor forecasting.
Verifies all project completion requirements, including testing, demonstration, punch lists, billing, and documentation have been completed according to the contract and Inframark's Best Practices.
Must be able to perform the above items for multiple projects simultaneously ranging in size from $10,000 to $5,000,000 (typical load of up to 20 projects or $10,000,000 total backlog).
Supports all Customers throughout the warranty period.
Systematically contacts all Customers on a regular basis to offer ongoing support and discuss any current or upcoming opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree (BS, B.) in an Engineering field or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Two (2) years of experience as a titled Project Manager executing controls-related technical/engineering projects. Water/wastewater experience is not required but a plus.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Good communication with technically oriented personnel.
Working familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project.
Ability to interpret and utilize financial reports and legal documents such as contracts.
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously ranging in size from $10,000 to $5,000,000 (typical load of up to 20 projects or $10,000,000 total backlog).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is required. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information and to read and understand specifications and drawings.
Heavy lifting is not expected. Good manual dexterity is necessary for the use of common office equipment such as computers, and copiers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job is performed both indoors (primarily) and outdoors in a variety of settings including the office (primarily), Engineer and Owner offices, equipment supplier facilities, and project jobsites. Protective safety equipment may be required including appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, hardhat, and goggles as needed.
TRAVEL
Travel to the job sites as well as Engineer and Owner offices is required as part of project management. Expected travel 15-35 percent depending on individual project requirements.
