Our Client is Looking for an Estimator in the Construction industry
Job purpose of Estimator is to quantify costs for projects by producing bid packages for labor and materials, while mathematically estimating quantities. The Estimator will Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposals
Key duties/responsibilities of Estimator:
Prepare bid packages for new projects, specifying the project details to potential vendors for accurate estimates.
Use Planswift to quantify measurements for project budgets
Assist in producing proposals for sitework contracts
Assist in purchasing of materials with creation of take-offs, generating PO's, and creating Change Orders
Assist the VP of Operations and Finance to seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
Track & report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Coordinate with the Site Development Managers to verify the accuracy and proper implementation of the subcontracts and material delivery.
Assist in obtaining permits and licenses
Maintain a vendor database to ensure fresh, competent workforce and material supply
