What You'll Do
You'll manage and maintain our partnerships with small to mid-sized business clients. You'll conduct outreach, drive renewal and ensure customer loyalty. When a client is at risk of cancelling services, you'll be there to show them the benefit of staying with us. Other responsibilities include:
Calling existing small to medium customers to renew contracts and generate new sales opportunities.
Identifying new sources of revenue for existing customer base.
Developing strategic account plans for maintaining and growing Cox Business's revenue within existing accounts.
Making outbound follow-up calls to customers.
Listening to and questioning customers to understand customers' communication needs in order to troubleshoot and resolve sources of service, pricing and technical problems.
Working with sales engineering or sales support teams to determine solutions and address any issues regarding installation or service.
Up-selling bundled telephony, data, wireless and video as well as other Cox Business products to current customers.
Developing proposals and presentations for add-on products and services.
Negotiating pricing, products, promotions and terms and conditions with clients.
Educating customers in the use of installed products, service offerings, billing, charges and product features.
Maintaining client satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
Providing customer intelligence and feedback to the marketing department.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and developing internal relationships to resolve customer problems.
Who You Are
You're an ambitious and determined person who values both success and work-life balance. You've proven yourself in sales and are ready to put real relationships first. You also have the following qualifications:
Minimum:
7 years of experience in a related field,
OR a high school diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in a related field,
OR an AS/AA degree, a BS/BA degree or certification in a related discipline with 3 years of experience in a related field.
1 year of working in a sales environment achieving quotas.
At least 6 months of experience working with computers and common business software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Preferred:
1 year of experience in the telecommunications industry or at a major communications equipment vendor.
1 year of business-to-business field sales experience with quotas and cold calling.
Knowledge of local market and contacts.

USD 16.63 - 25.00 per hour
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is $16.63 - $25.00/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $28,340.00.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
