Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Security Manager, Sr. Managerfor our client located in Tallahassee, FL.
This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.
Job Overview:
Support the OIT in a multiyear effort to manage the development and implementation of security standards, ensure adherence to industry norms, and enhance work methods to strengthen security. The Security Manager shall perform the following tasks as necessary to complete work for the OIT as assigned by the Department’s Contract Manager: 1. Manages the development and delivery of IT security standards, best practices, architecture, and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise. 2. Implements processes and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards; facilitates migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments. 3. Conducts studies within and outside the organization to ensure compliance with standards and currency with industry security norms. 4. Manages and participates in the planning and implementation of security administration for all IT projects. 5. Assists in implementing changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective or to strengthen security measures.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years of IT work experience with a broad range of exposure to all aspects of business planning, systems analysis and applications development. An advanced degree can substitute for one (1) year of IT work experience.
Experience managing the development and delivery of IT security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise.
Experience implementing processes and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards; facilitates migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments.
Experience conducting studies within and outside the organization to ensure compliance with standards and currency with industry security norms.
Experience managing and participating in the planning and implementation of security administration for all IT projects.
Experience assisting in the implementation of changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective or to strengthen security measures.
Excellent communication and documentation skills in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Education Preferred:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
