Experienced Engineering Manager with a proven track record of optimizing equipment performance and streamlining maintenance procedures. Skilled in managing complex projects, ensuring timely delivery of orders, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Proven ability to collaborate effectively in an educational environment, supporting research initiatives, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, as well as industrial partners. JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Schedules and coordinates experiments with researchers at all levels, from undergraduate students to faculty. Monitors experiment progress, troubleshoot issues, and assist in data collection as needed to support successful research outcomes.
20% - Essential - Manages the center grants and execute items as needed for the grants.
20% - Essential - Manages all equipment to ensure it is maintained and operational at all times. This involves daily checks, repairs, and regular maintenance. Additionally, staying abreast of necessary upgrades and modifications to keep equipment functioning optimally is a key component of the role.
20% - Essential - Provides the director of the center with the necessary resources and support to ensure the smooth operation and success of all initiatives.
10% - Essential - Communicates clearly and professionally with all parties involved in projects, outlining processes, procedures, and expectations. Develops and implements comprehensive management plans for each project to ensure successful outcomes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or engineering technology and entry-level engineering or architectural work experience.
Work Experience: At least 6 months experience in Industrial Engineer.
