ETRIA Manufacturing USA Inc. (EMUS) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer at our manufacturing facility in Lawrenceville. Using practical leadership skills, teamwork, and a hands-on approach, the Mechanical Engineer will participate in project teams and work individually on projects designing, modifying, or improving process equipment and implementing new processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, plan, prepare RFQ, install and set-up equipment with industrial standards used in chemical manufacturing process (fine powder or similar products).
  • Recommend equipment modifications to improve production efficiency, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
  • Analyze and identify continuous improvement opportunities of current equipment to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Design and fabricate or organize for external fabrication of new and replacement parts.
  • Support and perform Kaizen activities as a Mechanical engineer in all the divisions of Toner manufacturing (Toner Process, Toner Filling, Assembly).
  • Provide support to ensure proper functioning of Compressors and Air dryers.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process problems, determining the root cause of equipment failures/problems and implement countermeasures.
  • Support the sustainment of existing production lines as it relates to: ECR-ECOs, product quality, process improvements, and responsiveness to ergonomic and safety related issues.
  • Create and modify troubleshooting, start-up, equipment setup documents and other procedures.
  • Create and/or modify preventive maintenance document, troubleshooting guides, start-up procedures.
  • Prepare schedules for Preventive maintenance as per manufacturing company’s equipment manuals.
  • Prepare and present report with detailed root cause analysis and data.
  • Prepare training materials to train production and maintenance personnel on the usage and maintenance of equipment.

Required

Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience

Required

5 years:
3 + years’ experience in manufacturing equipment engineering; preferably in the powder handling industry
Experience with equipment layout design and utility requirements.
Intermediate skills in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as experience with 3D-CAD Design tools, ideally SolidWorks and AutoCAD used for creation/maintaining technical plans, blueprints, layouts, mechanical drawings and models.
Strong understanding of the mechanical engineering principles to create and maintain automated processes.
Strong in analytical, Statistical analysis, problem solving, communication, project management and presentation skills.
Working knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to the production of various products. Good knowledge of ISO/OSHA /cGMP requirements and current industry practices
Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, machine fabrication, equipment installation, contractor work scope, and construction management.
