Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of SQL Server Data Conversion Developer within our team. This role is for a full-time employee, or we will consider a contractor with the experience, skills and focus on customer delivery we do as a company. As a SQL Server Data Conversion Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining, updating and running data conversion programs in support of the project data needs. These programs convert more than 2 billion records into approximately 180 different tables that support our new retirement system. We are currently in the testing phase of the project.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Analyzing, fixing, and testing data conversion defects

  • Designing and implementing enhancements and changes to the existing data conversion programs

  • Documenting conversion logic in our data conversion mapping tools

  • Analyzing and eliminating data conversion fallout

  • Running the conversion programs that produce test data that can be used to test the application, reports, and batch programs

  • Some after hours or weekend time may be necessary to monitor and support the production of data but this time is minimal and spread across the conversion team




Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) 2010 or later data analysis, data fix or data conversion experience


  • SUBSTANTIAL SQL AND SSIS EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to work with analysts, testers, and application development to diagnose, resolve and test defects

  • Ability to work independently or with a small group to analyze and resolve defects




Preferred:



  • Retirement business experience is greatly desired

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio

  • Experience with performance tuning Microsoft SQL Server queries and processes

  • Experience with version control software such as Team Foundation Server



The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current


annual range is $80,800 to $129,300. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. This position is classified as exempt in accordance with applicable law.
